Durban Beach Trip Gallery
back

Here we come! The beautiful city of Durban. Volunteers had their work cut out for them trying to look after all the children on the beach. The city of Durban lies on the shores of the beautiful Indian ocean.
2 volunteers take the non-swimmers to enjoy the ocean. The water was cold and each wave was like a monster chasing after the children. A new sea creature was created and called the ‘Lizzie Monster’. Durban has many piers stretching out into the ocean, as can be seen in the backround.
Some children were a little apprehensive of the cold, ‘Big Water’. A truly New South African sight! There was so much for the children to do on the beach. Each child had a fantastic time. Our own ‘beach bum!’
A buried volunteer is raised from her sea sand grave. Our volunteer Tim tried so hard on his tan, ag shame! The children thought Tim could keep them afloat. Human sand castle.

The children had great fun burying Tim and making him the next sand monster.
