We get so many requests from people all over the world that have been touched by what we are trying to do and really want to help but cannot necessarily fly to Africa to do so.

Lean on Me together with the Kwa-Nyuswa Hospice are very excited to introduce our Community Upliftment project. A few Zulu widows from the Kwa-Nyuswa township in Kwazulu/Natal, South Africa have started making beaded articles to help support themselves and the orphaned children they care for.
Lean on Me has agreed to sell their goods and the widows of Kwa-Nyuswa are so thrilled that they may be able to support themselves financially that they have even agreed to make goods according to peoples preferences such as colours, text and sizes.
Lean on Me also hopes to soon be able to export some of the widows talented work
Please support us and make a difference from where you are. Here is a list of just a few of their creative Zulu beaded goods. Each article is hand made and takes many hours and effort. For example a beaded necklace may take up to 1 week to make.
The patterns are typically zulu and inspired from colours and patterns of every day life in the rural communities.
