The Community Home Based Care Program

The Community Home Based Care program is based in the Mopani District of the Limpopo Province in South Africa. The program aims to assist the local people living in the rural communities surrounding the well-known Kruger National Park. Poverty and HIV/AIDS have hit these communities extremely hard and this program offers the local people a much-needed lifeline.

The program assists these communities by running local education and awareness workshops, meeting the basic needs of the young orphans and tending to the sick and needy. Volunteers are needed to help staff in all aspects of their daily work. The more volunteers they receive, the more people the program can reach out too. Volunteers are able to choose which area/s of the program's work they would like to participate in.
